The art of finishing things
Ah the satisfaction of completing a book.
Cheerily, you slam shut the back cover of the book, chuckling at the full-circle ending of the story you just finished reading.
That ending was simply amazing!
…No?
Well, I gotta be honest with you. It’s been AGES since I properly finished reading a book.
You see, I seem to have this bad habit of starting things I don’t finish, be it a book, a course, or a side project.
Before you start berating me, I KNOW. I know how bad of a habit it is.
I blame my constantly curious, multi-passionate self for being interested in so many wonderful things in life. *coughs*
But more so, I’m pointing the finger at my own lack of focus and discipline.
Come to think about it, it really has been so long since I actually completed something. It’s embarrassing to admit, but I cannot for the life of me think of a recent milestone I’ve achieved. That’s probably why I keep feeling that my life is stagnant, when in actual fact I am the reason for that.
And I’m determined to do something about it.
